autism therapy
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a science in which behavioral procedures are systematically applied to improve socially significant behaviors in real-world settings. Applied behavior analysis is the only treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) that has been endorsed by the United States Surgeon General and is viewed as the gold standard for treatment of children with ASD. Our skilled therapists trained in ABA work with children in their homes, schools, or out in the community based upon the child’s specific needs.
vocational support
H. Klein Consulting provides a wide array of vocational programs which, based on each individual’s needs, are designed to help someone obtain and maintain employment.
academic support tutoring
Whether dealing with autism spectrum disorders, dysgraphia, dyslexia, language processing trouble, ADHD, school avoidance, or any other learning-related challenge, I can help pave the way to academic and social success. As a former special education teacher, I will ensure that the lessons are appropriately aligned with the student’s school curriculum. If the student qualifies for special education, I can provide support for IEP goals and help with homework completion.
jump: young adult social skills group
We run a young adult (ages 16-25) social skills group called “Jump.” Jump meets every Monday from 4:15-6:15 at various locations around Seattle where we work on communication skills, independent living skills, wellness, and self sufficiency. As teachers, we know that other students are much more impactful in delivering learning opportunities: that is why Jump partners with local high school students who are looking to gain invaluable work experience and volunteer hours to be peer coaches during our sessions.
education consultant
H. Klein Consulting provides ongoing support to promote the inclusion of children and adults with disabilities. As an educational consultant, I can assist in the development and coordination of appropriate individualized education plans for students requiring special education and/or related services.
